  • Looking for a Japan total-data eSIM on NTT DOCOMO, not IIJ? This card shares one high-speed pack across the days on NTT DOCOMO’s own high-speed 4G/5G (Japan IP), from 3GB to 100GB. Plenty of cards say Docomo but are actually IIJ, a different company that borrows Docomo’s network. This one is Docomo itself, for trips where you already know roughly how much data you’ll use.

    The easy part: No physical SIM swap. One high-speed pack covers these days, so you are not starting over every morning.

    NTT and IIJ, simply: NTT Docomo is one of Japan’s big carriers, and this card uses its own high-speed 4G/5G. IIJ Docomo is a different company that borrows Docomo’s towers. When it’s crowded, the borrowed line is more likely to slow down. Docomo’s own line is usually smoother.

    Still online after the pack: After 3GB–100GB of high-speed data, about 200 kbps continues until the days end. Texts usually still go through. HD video stutters. This pack does not reset every day.

    Native Japan IP: Traffic exits in Japan. Maps, social apps, and Japanese apps feel smoother than a Singapore-IP roaming card.

    One less setup step: On iPhone, scanning the QR usually fills this in. On Android, type a.apn02.net. With IIJ, you type vmobile.jp yourself on both iPhone and Android.

    Who should choose what: Pick this when you already know the trip total and want Docomo’s own line. For a fresh allowance every day, choose NTT DOCOMO daily. For light use and a lower price, choose IIJ Docomo total. If you don’t want any setup, choose SoftBank/KDDI daily. If you don’t want to watch your data, choose AU KDDI truly uncapped.

    Before you start: Install it in Taiwan first. After you land and connect to NTT Docomo, turn this card’s mobile data on. That’s when the days start counting.

Real-world experience

Before the high-speed data runs out, city tests often reach tens of Mbps, and it’s usually smoother than IIJ when it’s crowded. After the whole pack, about 200 kbps still handles texts while video stutters. Android without a.apn02.net may show signal but no internet. For reference only.

這是 這是 NTT DOCOMO 自己的高速 4G／5G 總量型：天數內共用一包高速流量，不是 IIJ。IIJ 是另一家公司，向 Docomo 借基地台來用。人多的時候，借來的線路比較容易變慢。

高速可選 3GB、5GB、10GB、20GB、30GB、50GB、100GB。用完後約 200kbps，可繼續用到天數結束，傳訊通常還行，高畫質影音會變慢。不是每天重置。出口是日本 IP。

iPhone 多數會自動帶入 APN；Android 請手動設 a.apn02.net，不要填 IIJ 的 vmobile.jp。想每天重置額度改選 NTT DOCOMO 每日型；預算有限可看 IIJ Docomo 總量型；完全不想設 APN 改選 SoftBank／KDDI 每日型。

建議台灣先安裝。抵達日本、連上 NTT Docomo 後再打開這張卡的行動數據，效期才開始算。原生 eSIM 售出後不退換。
