eSIM Frequently Asked Questions | Jeko eSIM

Question 1

What is an eSIM? Do I still need to swap physical SIM cards abroad?

Accepted Answer

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your device. After purchasing from Jeko eSIM, your QR code is emailed to you and shown in your account. Scan it with your phone to add the mobile plan—no physical SIM swap or local store visit required. It is ideal for travel in Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, and multiple countries.

Question 2

How do I purchase a plan from Jeko eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Choose your destination, duration, and data allowance (unlimited, daily, or total data) from the home or plan pages, add the plan to your cart, and check out. On mobile, you can also use My eSIM → Quick Purchase to select a country and plan step by step. After payment, the QR code is emailed to the address entered at checkout and appears under My eSIM Orders in your account.

Question 3

Which payment methods are supported?

Accepted Answer

Checkout supports credit cards through NewebPay and LINE Pay. All payments are collected by the platform. Purchases through a partner store or referral link use the same platform checkout, with partner commission settled separately afterward.

Question 4

How can I confirm that my phone supports eSIM before purchasing?

Accepted Answer

Check the Support / Compatible Devices page for supported iPhone and Android models, and make sure your phone is carrier-unlocked. Purchasing for an incompatible or unsupported device is generally not eligible for a refund, so please confirm compatibility before ordering.

Question 5

What is the difference between a local eSIM and a roaming eSIM?

Accepted Answer

Plans marked “local,” “local IP,” or “local network” generally use a local carrier profile; other plans may use roaming or non-local routing. Installation is similar, but refund terms differ: local eSIMs are generally non-refundable once sold, while a non-local or roaming eSIM may qualify for a full refund if it has not been installed, or if installed but not activated. See the Refund Policy for details.

Question 6

Does Jeko eSIM issue electronic invoices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After payment, an electronic invoice is issued using the email address or account details provided at checkout. If you need a Taiwanese business tax ID on the invoice, enter the tax ID and company name correctly during checkout. Invoice notifications are normally sent by email.

Question 7

What should I do if I have not received my eSIM QR code?

Accepted Answer

First check your spam and promotions folders and confirm that the checkout email address is correct. You can also sign in and open My eSIM Orders to view the QR code. If the order shows as fulfilled but no QR code is available, contact us through the official LINE account or support@jeko-esim.com.tw with your order number.

Question 8

Can I sign in with LINE? Do I still need an email address?

Accepted Answer

Yes, LINE sign-in is supported. If your LINE account is not linked to a valid email address, enter an email address you can access at checkout because the eSIM QR code and order notices are sent there. Linking an email in your account settings is recommended for future order lookup and refund requests.

Question 9

Where can I find the eSIMs I purchased?

Accepted Answer

After signing in, go to My eSIM Orders in your account to view order status, payment details, QR codes, refund options, and repurchase links. On mobile, the My eSIM panel also provides quick access to your plans and usage.

Question 10

How do I install an eSIM on an iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Use a stable Wi-Fi connection and go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then scan the installation code from your order. After installation, enable data roaming for that eSIM when you arrive at your destination if the plan instructions require it. See the installation guide or Installation & Support in your account for illustrated steps.

Question 11

How do I install an eSIM on Android?

Accepted Answer

The path varies by brand, but a common route is Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Download a SIM / Add eSIM → scan the QR code. Some devices require you to select Download a SIM or use the carrier app first. Installation cannot be completed on a device that does not support eSIM.

Question 12

Can I install an eSIM with one tap?

Accepted Answer

On supported devices and browsers, your order or the My eSIM panel may offer a one-tap installation link for iOS or Android. If it does not work, scan the QR code with your camera or through system settings. If you are viewing the order on a computer, open the link on your phone or scan the code with it.

Question 13

What should I do if I cannot get online after installation?

Accepted Answer

Confirm that: 1) you are in a country or region covered by the plan; 2) the eSIM is selected for mobile data; 3) data roaming is enabled if required; and 4) you have toggled Airplane Mode or restarted the device. If the issue continues, take screenshots of your settings and contact support through the official LINE account. Connectivity cases are assessed individually under the Refund Policy.

Question 14

How can I check my remaining eSIM data?

Accepted Answer

Sign in and open Data Usage in your account. Select an eSIM and choose Check Data Usage to view the remaining and used data. Supplier data is typically delayed by about 30–60 minutes. You can also use the public Data Usage page or the mobile My eSIM panel. Unlimited plans may show no fixed allowance or indicate that sufficient data remains.

Question 15

What are low-data alerts, and how do I enable them?

Accepted Answer

When enabled, the system can send a browser notification when your remaining data is low. In Data Usage, enable data monitoring, allow browser notifications, and link one eSIM; only one eSIM can be monitored at a time. On iPhone, add this site to your Home Screen before enabling notifications. The alert setting in the mobile My eSIM panel stays synchronized with your account.

Question 16

Can I receive data alerts through the official LINE account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. First sign in with LINE or link your LINE account, then add the official Jeko LINE account as a friend. In the LINE alerts section on the Data Usage page, scan the official QR code or follow the link, then select Enable Alerts. LINE and browser alerts can be used together; make sure an eSIM is linked for monitoring.

Question 17

Why does the displayed usage differ from what I expect?

Accepted Answer

Usage comes from the supplier and is often delayed by about 30–60 minutes. Some plans, including certain unlimited plans, do not use a fixed MB allowance, so the page may show a status instead. If usage does not update for an extended period, confirm that the ICCID or order was issued by Jeko eSIM, or contact support.

Question 18

When can I request a refund?

Accepted Answer

For non-local or roaming eSIMs, a full refund can generally be requested if the eSIM has not been installed, or has been installed but not activated. Activated eSIMs are generally non-refundable. Local eSIMs are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once sold. For connectivity issues, contact support first; replacement or a partial refund may be offered depending on the case. See the Refund Policy for complete terms.

Question 19

How do I request a refund on the website?

Accepted Answer

Sign in, open My eSIM Orders, select the order, and choose Request Refund. The system checks whether the eSIM is a local plan and verifies its activation status with the supplier. Eligible unactivated plans use a simplified full-refund form; activated plans are handled as after-sales disputes and require supporting evidence. Wait for the review notification after submitting.

Question 20

What happens to the electronic invoice after a refund?

Accepted Answer

If an electronic invoice was issued, an approved refund will be followed by the required allowance or cancellation. See the Refund Policy and the Payment, Invoices & Refunds section of the Terms of Service. If your invoice includes a Taiwanese business tax ID, mention it when submitting the request.

Question 21

How do I claim the NT$50 new-member discount? Must I add the official LINE account?

Accepted Answer

A NT$50 coupon is issued after new-member registration. Before using it at checkout, you must add and link the official Jeko LINE account. Adding the LINE account without registering does not issue a coupon, and the offer cannot be doubled to NT$100. View your coupon under My Coupons or on the latest promotions page. See that page for full campaign terms.

Question 22

What can I do in my account?

Accepted Answer

Your account lets you view orders and QR codes, check data usage and enable alerts, follow creators, manage account and sign-in security, and access installation support. Eligible partners can also access their store management area.

Question 23

What should I do if I cannot remember how I signed in?

Accepted Answer

If you originally used Google or LINE, sign in with the same method. If an email is linked, use the website sign-in flow to verify or reset access. Orders are matched to the checkout email and signed-in identity. If they do not match, contact the official LINE account with your order number for assistance.

Question 24

How can I become a Jeko eSIM partner?

Accepted Answer

Submit a partner application through the partnership or contact page. We welcome creators, community sellers, bloggers, travel agencies, accommodation providers, and related businesses. Approved partners can use a dedicated referral link or storefront and earn commission on completed orders. Customers still pay through the platform’s NewebPay or LINE Pay checkout. See the partnership information and Terms of Service for details.

Question 25

Is an eSIM purchased from a partner store the same as one from the main site?

Accepted Answer

The product catalog and activation process are the same, although partner-store pricing may include a partner markup. Payment still uses the platform checkout. After payment, the QR code is delivered by email and shown in your account, and the same refund and data-usage rules apply.

Question 26

How can I contact customer support?

Accepted Answer

For prompt assistance, add our official LINE account. You can also email support@jeko-esim.com.tw or use the Contact Us form for general questions, partner applications, or refund and exchange requests. Outside business hours, consult this FAQ or the website assistant.

Question 27

Can I add the website to my phone’s Home Screen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Jeko eSIM is a PWA. On iPhone, open the site in Safari and select Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android or Chrome, select Install app or Add to Home screen from the browser menu. Installing it makes data alerts easier to enable and provides an app-like experience.

Question 28

What other travel services does Jeko eSIM offer?

Accepted Answer

In addition to travel eSIMs for many destinations, the site includes accommodation recommendations, car rental and private transfer information, and travel articles to help you plan your trip. eSIMs remain our core product; refer to each service page for its specific content and terms.
